A downloadable project

Here's a collection of unfinished games that I started, published and then in many cases regretted when people inevitably asked for more. Unlike the experiments, these games are all fun, they just end abruptly. If that doesn't phase you, I invite you to give these a try, and don't you dare ask me when the next update is coming (it's not)

Fallen Cube
this was the start of my metroidvania phase, one of many that aimed for hours of gameplay and wide open worlds to explore, games where the scope flew through the roof and never quite landed. Fallen cube features an unusual modules system, where each item is attached to one face of your cube, and the direction of it changes as you roll. It's kinda clumsy and I don't regret moving on from this one.

Verest
even though this game isn't complete, I'm really proud of it, something about it just feels like a real game, not just a silly little prototype. It's got three incomplete zones, a boss and a few powerups, I just got really stuck with the scope ballooning to the moon and beyond.

Soulclad
I don't even know what to say for this one, it exists? This is a huge puzzle metroidvania, which you can technically beat (despite the game at one point saying you can't). This was made in one, crunch heavy month, and for what it's worth, the game is almost done, like a solid 90%. But it had one fatal flaw: everything was in one scene. That scene was hitting unity's max size of 4GB per scene, and it took a whopping ten minutes to open play mode as unity was just so overwhelmed by the weight of it all. As they say, there's the first 90% of making your game, then there's the second 90%

Dead Deal
a visual novel where you pick choices with no context at all, then watch it play out and see what happens. This is the game where I discovered just how difficult it is to make a branching narrative; there's a total of 432 unique paths that you can take, but literally only 8 choices in the entire game. I probably should've done that math before I even started this, but hey the game's really cool.
